Bio
Ramiro is a strong team player who strives to create highly effective working relationships with the Firm’s clients and their business partners. Since Ramiro joined Galicia in 2007, his practice has been focused on M&A, private equity and real estate matters, mostly dedicated to transactional work.
He is a partner in the Firm’s Mergers & Acquisitions and heads the Real Estate practice.
Ramiro advises private equity funds, family offices, institutional and strategic investors, real estate developers and sponsors, real estate investment trusts (REITs), asset managers, lenders and major corporations on a wide range of mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, real estate asset acquisition and disposition transactions, and asset-backed financings. As part of his real estate practice, he represents some of the largest real estate developers and investors in Mexico.
He obtained his Law Degree from the Universidad Panamericana in Guadalajara, Mexico, and a Master of Science in Law and Finance from Queen Mary University of London. Ramiro currently co-heads the Cátedra Galicia program of the Universidad Panamericana Law School in Mexico City.
He has international experience working as a foreign associate in the New York office of Dechert LLP.
Recently, The Legal 500 has named him “Next Generation Partner” in the Real Estate and Mergers & Acquisitions practices. Due to his dynamism and excellent client service, the French publication Leaders League has listed him “Recommended” in the Real Estate practice.
Ramiro has served as secretary and independent member on several boards of directors.
He is a member of the Galicia’s Innovation and Technology Committee.
