Héctor loves taking on complex challenges. That is why he enjoys teaming up with clients, advisors and colleagues to create efficient and innovative solutions and, in the process, improving each other’s game.
Clients are drawn to Héctor’s personal commitment and outstanding service. They often praise his responsiveness and attention to detail, from carefully designing precise and effective agreements to taking care of all the clients’ needs.
In his transactional work, he brings a distinctive set of human and negotiation capabilities that bring parties together to produce lasting agreements. This personal skillset has helped him represent all type of clients, ranging from Fortune 500 companies to start-ups and across several regulated industries, such as financial services, mining, energy and infrastructure; and non-regulated sectors such as retail, e-commerce and entertainment.
He gained international experience working as an international associate in the New York office of Cravath, Swaine and Moore.
Héctor is committed to human development initiatives at the Firm. As member of the Talent Committee, he participates in nearly all applicant interviews and he is a driving force behind the design and delivery of Galicia’s innovative training programs that seek to create smarter lawyers and better people.
Héctor is partner of the Firm since 2006. He obtained his JD from the Universidad Panamericana and holds a Master’s degree in Law from the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven.
He is also a passionate triathlete, having various top-5 finishes and a podium under his belt.
