Bio
Ernesto is a partner of Galicia in the firm’s energy and project finance practice group.
He has extensive experience in cross-border financings, project finance and development of infrastructure and energy projects, including petrochemical, natural gas, electricity and renewable energy, where he represents both project sponsors and lenders.
He has also been involved in numerous energy project investments and acquisitions. Prior to joining Galicia, Ernesto spent several years engaged in civil, administrative and commercial litigation work. His prior experience in litigation gives him a different view and better understanding of the risk profile of his clients’ transactions, complementing his project finance practice.
He received a master´s degree in Corporate Law from the Universidad Panamericana, a master´s degree in American Law from Boston University and a law degree from the Universidad Anáhuac del Norte. Ernesto joined Galicia in 2007. Ernesto worked from 2014 to 2015 as foreign associate in Mayer Brown’s Washington, D.C. office.
