Daniel Amézquita
Bio

Daniel´s professional practice focuses on administrative and constitutional litigation, as well as customs and international trade.

He has successfully represented several transnational companies in the constitutional challenge of various legal provisions, and determination of tax credits by different federal and local authorities, among other types of disputes. Daniel has been legal advisor to several of the main national and international import and export companies in Mexico in different types of projects.

Working as a partner at Chevez, Ruiz, Zamarripa, he founded the Administrative and Constitutional Litigation area and directed the Foreign Trade area as well as the Social Security and Local Tax practices.

He has postgraduate studies in Tax Law, a diploma in American Law, and a specialization in European Union Law, a diploma in International Commercial Arbitration and Diploma in Anti-Corruption, among others.

Daniel has participated as a professor at the Universidad Panamericana, Universidad Iberoamericana, Escuela Libre de Derecho and the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México, teaching various subjects of international law and taxes.

He is currently a member of ANADE and the International Academy of Customs Law and the Arbitration Commission of the International Chamber of Commerce.

He has been coordinator of the Administrative Law Commission of the BMA and of the Administrative Law Committee of the ANADE.

His career has been recognized by different international publications such as Chambers and Partners. Recently, The Legal 500 has named him “Leading Individual” in the Litigation practice. Due to the complex matters in which he has participated, the French publication Leaders League has listed him as “Recommended”. Finally, Who’s Who Legal has named him “Thought Leader” due to the recognition of his clients and peers.
