Christian is an authority in the Mexican legal market, with over 20 years of experience in strategic mergers and acquisitions, antitrust matters and private wealth management. Acting as trusted advisor to his clients, he combines unrivalled market insight and an innovative analysis of the transaction at hand, always ensuring their best interest.
Christian represents clients in complex merger proceedings, particularly in regulated sectors and industries, as well as cartel investigations and abuse of market power.
In the area of wealth management, he advises and supports clients in relation to the legal structure and corporate governance of their businesses, the preparation of control trusts or those vehicles necessary for the better management and preservation of their assets, as well as the succession to their families.
Christian is an enthusiastic reader and is convinced of the importance of childhood education in Mexico. He therefore collaborates closely with civil society organizations dedicated to improving educational quality, acting as their Pro Bono legal counsel and on occasion, in leadership positions.
He was an international attorney at Cleary, Gottlieb, Steen & Hamilton (NY Office). He graduated with honors from Universidad Anáhuac del Sur and he is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Philosophy.
Due to his expertise, knowledge of the market, and representation of clients in some of the most important concentrations in the Mexican market, Chambers and Partners recognizes him as Band 1 expert in Competition and Band 2 expert in Corporate M&A. In addition, The Legal 500 and Leaders League ranked him as “Leading Individual” in the Competition and Merger Control practices, respectively.
