Bio

Antonio is an infrastructure and oil & gas lawyer to the core. He has been immersed in these industries for over two decades, predominantly advising on financing transactions and regulatory aspects.

Clients reach out to him when they are looking for an experienced and reliable lawyer who understands their needs, delivering thorough and long-term solutions.

Antonio consistently participates in innovative and relevant transactions. He advises some of the largest and most respectable companies doing business in Mexico, such as Grupo México, Abertis, CRRC and PanAmerican Energy. On the lender side, he has represented the main commercial and development banks active in the sector.

He plays a key role in Galicia’s Energy, Project Finance and Infrastructure practice groups, which consistently top the rankings in leading directories such as Chambers and Partners, IFLR1000 and The Legal 500.

He has a Master’s degree in Law from Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (Leuven, Belgium) and a Bachelor’s degree in Law from Escuela Libre de Derecho (Mexico City). He spent a year as a foreign associate at Sherman & Sterling, LLP in New York City.

Antonio is a frequent speaker at conferences on energy and infrastructure in Mexico and abroad and is a visiting professor at Escuela Libre de Derecho and Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México.
