Bio
Lisandro is a highly specialized health and life sciences lawyer. He joined Galicia Abogados in 2017 as a senior associate in the life sciences practice, after having served in leadership positions in international pharmaceutical companies, trade associations and specialized law firms.
As a former in-house lawyer, he has a profound understanding of the challenges in today’s healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors, and is a recognized expert in health regulation, governmental procurement processes, pharmaceutical regulation, compliance, small and large molecules medicines, medical devices and digital health.
Currently, Lisandro acts as counsel in the New Technologies Promoting Council of the Mexican Health Foundation (Funsalud for its name in Spanish). He represented leading pharmaceutical companies active in Mexico before different trade associations and chambers of commerce, as well as in the negotiations of international treaties signed by Mexico.
As an active member of the academic community, Lisandro is frequently asked as speaker in national and international forums on legal trends in healthcare and life sciences. He is the academic coordinator of the specialization course in health law at Escuela Libre de Derecho, a professor in the Universidad Panamericana, and lecturer in the Law Research Institute of the Mexican National Autonomous University (UNAM for its name in Spanish). Lisandro studied law at Escuela Libre de Derecho and has a master’s degree in International Law from the University of Liverpool, England.
