Cecilia Rojas
Bio

Cecilia has been passionate about finance law since she started practicing. She joined the Firm’s group in 2006, advising creditors and debtors in the structuring, negotiation, documentation and execution of all kinds financing transactions. Her expertise includes cross border syndicated transactions, acquisitions finance and corporate lending, which makes her work hand in hand with other areas of the Firm involved in the financial services industry, such as M&A and real estate.

Additionally, she has experience in regulatory matters and investigations, having advised financial institutions, including banks and pension funds.

Cecilia heads the Diversity and Inclusion Committee and is a member of the Firm’s Sustainability Committee.

Cecilia holds a law degree with honors from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (2002) in Mexico City and an LL.M. degree from Columbia Law School (2004). She worked as a fellow in the Center for International Environmental Law (CIEL) in Washington D.C. (2004) and as a fellow in the Inter-American Investment Corporation (currently BID Invest) in Washington D.C. (2005-2006).

Due to her expertise and knowledge of the market, Chambers and Partners has named her “Associate to Watch”.
