María de los Ángeles joined Galicia Abogados in 2006 and she is an associate in the Financing and Capital Markets practice area. Her work is specialized in domestic and international debt and equity offerings and general advice to issuers regarding the current securities regulation. Moreover, her work also focuses on local and cross-border banking financing, representing both borrowers and financial institutions.
María de los Ángeles worked in 2009 as a professional visitor in the Inter-American Court of Human Rights in San Jose, Costa Rica and participated in the 2013-2014 program of international associates of Cleary, Gottlieb, Steen & Hamilton LLP in its New York office.
She has been named in 2018 and 2019 by Chambers and Partners (Global and Latin America) as an associate to watch in the corporate practice area.
María de los Ángeles holds a law degree with honors from the Escuela Libre de Derecho in Mexico City (2009) and an LL.M. degree from The University of Chicago Law School (2013).
