Juan is an associate in the Energy and Project Finance practice of Galicia Abogados. He joined the Firm in 2020; he has more than 5 years of experience on transactional matters of the Energy Industry. His practice is focused on Project Finance, Refinancings, M&A and JV operations including the due diligence process and the negotiation and implementation of the transactions. Juan regularly provides corporate and commercial counselling for national and international companies, with domestic and foreign investment, including in matters related to corporate and regulatory law compliance, as well as with the drafting, negotiation and execution of project development, energy and commercial agreements.

Likewise, Juan has recently advised clients in international bond offerings and in corporate and project finance transactions, and he has assisted multinational companies in the Mexican component of restructuring processes. Juan has experience in energy regulatory matters, including representing companies before various regulatory organs (i.e. international bidding rounds for E&P contracts before CNH, permitting, amongst others).

Juan obtained his Bachelor in Law degree (JD Equivalent) from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM) in 2021 and carried out studies in the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) in 2018.
