José joined Galicia Abogados as a law clerk in 2006 and he became an associate in 2008. He regularly represents issuers (both companies and governmental entities) and underwriters in domestic and international equity and debt public, private and restricted offerings and securitizations. He is also very active in the banking and finance team and has participated in several project finance and M&A transactions and he has advised clients from several industries and business segments.

He worked from 2011-2012 at the New York Offices of Cleary, Gottlieb, Steen & Hamilton LLP. He studied law at Universidad Iberoamericana, where he graduated with honors in 2008 and he also has a master’s degree in law (LLM) from The University of Chicago (2011).

José has taught several classes related with capital markets matters and he has also co-authored articles related with initial public offerings in Mexico.
