José Antonio is a senior associate at Galicia Abogados, S.C., in the area of Civil and Commercial Litigation and Arbitration.

He has experience in counselling major domestic and foreign companies in arbitration proceedings, mainly before the International Chamber of Commerce and the Arbitration Centre of Mexico. He also has broad experience in civil and commercial litigation, as representative and counsel. As he has focused his career in dispute resolution, José Antonio is also Private Mediator Number 291 of Mexico City, and has acted as mediator in domestic disputes and counselling for foreign companies in the matter.

He joined Galicia Abogados in 2017, where he acted in diverse cases involving national and international commercial arbitration and litigation related to construction, energy, oil & gas contracts, corporate disputes, among others.

He holds a law degree and specialised titles in Amparo Law and Civil and Commercial Procedural Law, all from Universidad Panamericana (Mexico). José Antonio completed the International Chamber of Commerce Diploma at Escuela Libre de Derecho (Mexico). He obtained a Masters of Laws (LLM) degree from Queen Mary University London (UK) in Comparative and International Dispute Resolution.
