Bio
Irma is a senior associate in our intellectual property practice group, with ample expertise in intellectual property and technology transactions and litigation. Her breadth of experience includes representation of domestic and international clients from the pharmaceutical, entertainment and consumer goods industries in a wide array of cases involving intellectual property and information technology, including patent-investment arbitration cases. Her practice currently focuses in transactional intellectual property, data privacy, as well as trademarks and copyrights protection and litigation.
Prior to joining the firm, Irma was an associate at Covington & Burling, LLC., in Washington, D.C. She obtained her law degree (JD) from the Faculty of Law of the Monterrey Institute of Technology on December 2007.
She has a Postgraduate Degree in Constitutional Law from the Universidad Panamericana and, in 2014, she obtained a Masters in Law (LL.M.) degree from Harvard Law School, after being awarded with the Fulbright scholarship.
Irma currently participates as board member in the Board of Directors of the Mexican Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AMPPI), and is actively involved in AMPPI’s Women in IP Committee and the Corporate Social Responsibility best practices group.
