Bio
Fernando joined Galicia Abogados in 2018 as an associate in International Trade and Customs practice area. His work has been focused in those customs aspects of foreign trade operations such as tariff classification, non-tariff regulations, rules of origin, as well as tax audits related to foreign trade matters. Fernando has participated in the development of different projects involving the application of benefits granted under the sectorial promotion programs for importing and exporting goods, mainly in the energy sector. Likewise, he has participated in different antidumping procedures.
He worked in Chevez, Ruiz, Zamarripa as senior lawyer in the area of foreign trade from 2012 to 2017, and in the law firm of Von Wobeser y Sierra as a paralegal in 2010. Before joining Galicia Abogados, Fernando collaborated with King & Wood Mallesons in Melbourne Australia in 2018.
Fernando graduated in law with honors from Universidad Nacional Autonoma de México (2013). He has a Specialization Degree in International Trade Law from Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico (2016), and a Master of Energy and Resources Law from Melbourne Law School, University of Melbourne in Victoria, Australia (2018).
