Alejandro incorporated Galicia Abogados in July 2021 as a senior associate of the Tax Litigation team. He has more than 13 years of experience, and specializes in the strategic advisory of tax audits and procedures before the tax authorities, as well as in alternative dispute resolution procedures in tax matters before the Tax Ombudsman (PRODECON per its Spanish acronym), and tax controversy procedures regarding federal and local taxes.
He also has experience in international taxation issues and advising on matters concerning anti-money laundering provisions. He has obtained favorable resolutions challenging local taxes in several states, which granted the benefit of a considerable tax refund for several clients.
He obtained the title of Advanced LL.M. in International Tax Law at the University of Leiden (NL) International Tax Center (2012-2013). He is currently enrolled as a part-time professor (since 2019) for the Bachelor program at the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (TEC), instructing in tax matters.
